This mentorship is designed for photographers who want sustained guidance, accountability, and honest feedback over time. It’s suitable for anyone serious about improving—from beginners building a foundation to experienced professionals refining their direction. Students, working photographers, and retirees are all welcome.
The mentorship runs on a monthly basis. You can commit to a single month or continue month to month, depending on your goals and how deeply you want to engage.
We begin with an initial one-hour online session to review your work and talk through your interests, challenges, and priorities. This sets the direction for the month and ensures the mentorship is focused on what will be most useful to you.
Over the course of the month, we meet weekly for three additional one-hour online sessions. These sessions are used to review weekly assignments or project images, discuss progress, and work through specific creative, technical, or conceptual issues as they arise. The emphasis is on learning through making photographs, not just talking about them.
Between sessions, you’ll have direct access to me via WhatsApp and email. This allows for quick questions, feedback, or guidance as you work, rather than waiting until the next scheduled call.
Each mentorship revolves around active shooting. After the initial consultation, you’ll begin a short-term project that requires at least an hour of photography per week. Depending on your needs, we may also include smaller, focused assignments to address specific areas for improvement. For those continuing beyond a month, these projects can evolve into longer-term bodies of work.
Throughout the mentorship, I’ll also share relevant links, references, and inspiration tailored to your interests and progress—not generic resources, but material chosen to support where you are and where you’re heading.
This mentorship is best suited for photographers who want structure without rigidity, honest critique without ego, and steady progress built through real work.
