Overview
Led by New York Times assignment photographer Justin Mott, this small-group premium photography workshop is open to photographers of all levels who want to experience Vietnam with purpose and direction.
The workshop focuses on visual storytelling rather than any single genre, combining photography theory with hands-on shooting in real situations. Each day includes practical assignments, time in the field, and thoughtful group review, creating a structured but approachable learning environment.
Whether you’re new to photography or have years of experience, the emphasis is on learning how to see more clearly, make stronger decisions, and work with greater intention. This is a photography workshop, not a tour, but it’s designed to be engaging, collaborative, and grounded in real practice.
Workshop Approach
The workshop is hosted by Justin and Quỳnh Anh Mott. Justin provides photography guidance, assignments, and daily image reviews throughout the program. Quỳnh Anh, a Hanoi native, offers cultural insight, local context, and food guidance that helps participants engage more deeply with the places and people they photograph.
Group size is intentionally limited to five participants to allow for meaningful time in the field and personalized feedback.
Dates & Location
The workshop takes place in Huế and Hội An in Central Vietnam in March 9th -16th, 2026.
Pricing
The total workshop fee of $5450 is all-inclusive during the program dates, excluding airfare and visa fees. All participants are required to sign a liability waiver.
What’s Included?
Seven nights of accommodation, all meals during the workshop (excluding alcohol), airport pickup in Huế and drop-off in Đà Nẵng, ground transportation throughout the program, local guides and translators, entrance fees, hired models when applicable, all on-the-ground logistics, and a complimentary Wotancraft camera bag.
What’s Not Included?

Who This Workshop Is For?
This workshop is open to photographers of all levels and camera systems. No prior experience with Vietnam or street photography is required — only curiosity, respect, and a willingness to engage. The goal is not simply to make strong images during the workshop, but to leave with clearer vision, better habits, and skills that carry forward into future work.
